Project Architect
Studio M is actively pursuing an experienced Project Architect to join our Carmel and Broad Ripple teams. As a Project Architect, you will be a key member in the design and development of numerous projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and consultant design team to take projects from concept design through construction. Initiative, technical abilities, and collaborative attitude inherent in the Project Architect are integral to delivering a successful solution to our client.
Job Requirements:
Licensed Architect, or working toward licensure
Minimum 5 years of experience in design coordination and construction administration
Experience in multifamily design and construction
Understanding of applicable building codes and laws (FHA, ANSI, ADAAG)
Skilled production of construction documents and competent involvement in consultant coordination (Civil, Landscape, Structural, MEPFP, ID, Accessibility, etc.)
Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Bluebeam
Be a person of substantial initiative and have a thirst for learning
Job Duties:
Guide team members to produce presentation and technical drawings in support of the complete design vision
Manage specific aspects of a design project, including coordination with design consultants and internal team members as well as play a central role in the interpretation of design vision into a built reality
Proactively initiate solutions which resolve challenges and create the best outcome for the client
Advance the project by cooperating with AHJs with expertise and knowledge to obtain building permits
Communicate project deadlines, phase completion, staffing needs and changes with project manager in a timely manner. This includes morale of the team, client perception, and the ability to forecast short term project needs.
